Earning Your First Money

Starting with $0 can feel daunting. Here are the fastest legal ways to build up your initial funds without any skills or equipment.

1. Take a Government Job

Government jobs (Police, Medic, Firefighter, Bus Driver, Road Crew) pay a government salary each payday cycle. You don't need any starting money or equipment — just apply at the F2 menu if a slot is open.

Payday fires every 3 minutes, so just being on the server in a job earns you a steady trickle of income.

2. Collect Payday as a Citizen

Even as a plain Citizen, you receive a small payday salary. It's not much, but it's free money just for being online. Pair this with other income sources.

3. Sell Items to NPC Shops

If you find items in the world (or receive them from other players), you can sell them to NPC shops. Check around the map for vendor NPCs — press F1 on them to see buy/sell menus.

4. Craft and Sell Basic Items

Even with Level 1 Crafting, some simple recipes are available. Craft items and sell them to other players or shops for a small profit. This also builds your Crafting skill over time.

5. Ask for Work

Many established players run businesses and will pay citizens for services — driving deliveries, acting as security, providing materials. Check OOC chat or walk into player-run shops and ask if they're hiring.

First goal: Aim to save $5,000–$10,000 before doing anything else. That's enough to buy a basic property door or a cheap vehicle, which opens up more income options.

What to Spend It On First

  • A property door ($500–$5,000) — gives you storage space and a base of operations
  • Basic food/supplies — keep your health up
  • A cheap vehicle — makes traveling the map much faster
